Effective 7 September 2026.
This is the privacy policy for untamedlineandspiralstudio.com, the website of Untamed Line and Spiral Studio. It sets out what the site collects, why, and who else sees it.
What this site collects
What you send us. When you use the contact form, the site stores what you typed: your name, your email address and your message. A commission request form is prepared but is not yet on the site; when it is, it will also store the size, colours, placement and notes you give. If you followed a link about a particular painting, the identifier of that painting is stored with your message. The site also records the IP address, browser and operating system each submission came from.
What the shop sets. The shop is not open yet and there is nothing to buy, so no basket or session cookie is set for visitors today. When the shop opens, WooCommerce will set cookies to remember what is in your basket and to keep your session while you browse. Those are necessary for a shop to work and cannot be switched off without breaking it. This page will be updated on the day that changes.
What the server records. The web server keeps an ordinary request log, which includes IP addresses. Failed login attempts are recorded, with the address they came from, in order to block brute-force attacks.
What this site does not do. There is no analytics package, no advertising network and no tracking pixel on this site. Nothing here builds a profile of you, and nothing about you is sold.
Who else sees it
The host. The site and its database run on hosting infrastructure operated by DigitalOcean, which can technically access what is stored there.
Google Fonts. The typefaces used by the site are served from fonts.googleapis.com, so loading a page makes a request to Google that carries your IP address.
A payment provider, if one is connected. No payment provider is switched on at the moment, and no card details are received or stored by this site. If that changes, the provider handles card details directly and this policy will be updated to name it.
Nothing else. Your information is not passed to anyone for their own purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete anything you sent through a form on this site. Use the contact page and say what you would like removed.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for how a website should answer one, and this site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. It also does not track you across other websites, which is the practice such a signal asks a site to stop.
California residents
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask a business what personal information it has disclosed to third parties for those parties' own direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you would like that confirmed, ask through the contact page.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us through the contact page and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
